Selva on fire. For my sister, and for the forest.

Named for my sister, Selva. In Quechua, nina means fire — so Selva Nina is Selva on fire. Deep crimson, gold, and shadow move like embers, fierce and warm and protective. Here fire is transformation, but it is also memory: I made this piece for the Amazon and the people of the forest, so that what is burning is not quietly forgotten. To wear it is to hold her name, and to keep faith with a living world worth protecting.
