We were born in South America, Brazil, Bolivia and Ecuador shaped us. I grew up understanding that there is more to this world than what we see—that we are made of energy, that we are connected in ways most people forget. Life tested that belief early.

I left home at fourteen. Our parents haven't been present over a decade. So I became the one my siblings could count on. My sister, who is my whole world, looked to me. My brother, Adair, was diagnosed with schizophrenia and other rare mental conditions. He slipped into realities none of us could reach. For years, I was the only reliable family they had. I didn't know if I could hold it together. But I knew I had to.

Adair has always been an artist. Art was always his language—the way he made sense of the world. Then life took him through years of darkness: hospitals that sedated him, experimented on him like a lab rat, and sent him back more lost than before. Integration into society felt impossible—he was too different, too intense, too much for a world that didn't have space for his mind.

What finally reached him was not inside those walls. It was nature. Natural medicine. Art. Drawing became his anchor. Painting became his prayer. Every line he drew was a step back toward himself.

For years, he healed mostly alone. Being different made it hard to build friendships, to find a place where he belonged. But in that solitude, something grew. He found peace. He found purpose. And slowly, he found the courage to share his visions with the world.

All he dreams of now is simple: a small piece of land where he can build his own home, grow a big garden, and live a peaceful life.

 I am her sister, the founder of Saudade and I am honored to offer these prints to help him buy land in Costa Rica, continue the natural medicines that truly heal him, and one day visit us here in Europe.
